Seasonal Hikes
Hikes
are scheduled for the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month,
from
October thru May.
Hikes begin at 8:30.. Please arrive by 8:00!
These pictures are all from the Squantz Pond hike last May.
Hikes are done at 4 different skill levels, for about 2 hours each. Each hike attracts well over 200 people!
Please
bring WATER & HIKING
BOOTS and wear bright clothing!
Optional lunch follows each hike.
Please arrive
30 minutes prior to start time!

Sunday June 8th, 8:30AM Singles Hike (30s-50s)
At Burr Pond State Park in Torrington Ct.
Take Route 8 North. Get off at exit 45. End of ramp turn left down the hill. Turn right at the traffic light on to Winsted Rd. Go two miles and turn left at the blinking yellow light. Go up the hill and PAST the main park entrance on your left. Continue about ½ mile and take the next left turn into the parking lot at the boat launch..

Meet no later than ** 7:15 ** AM. RSVP to Charlie. Meet to carpool at Exit 9 off of I-84. At end of ramp, turn right (if westbound on I-84), left (if eastbound on I-84). Lot is ½ mile down on right.

Sunday July 27th, 8:30AM Singles Hike (30s-50s)
At Beacon Falls in Beacon Falls Ct.
Take route 8 South. Get off at exit 24. Right at end of ramp & go a half a mile & turn right over metal bridge. Stay to right over Bridge & turn right on Cold Spring Rd. Go 1 & a half miles along bumpy road. Turn right top of hill to hike.

Sunday August 17th, 8:30AM Singles Hike (30s-50s)
*** IMPORTANT
CHANGE IN MEETING PLACE ***:
Parking will be so limited that ONLY A VERY FEW PLACES TO PARK INSIDE
THE PARK WILL BE AVAILABLE.
Cost will be $8.00 or $9.00 per car if space is available. Instead we
will meet just up the hill before the park at Villa's Pasta Restaurant.
From here, we will hike or car pool the approxiamtely 1/8 mile to the
park. As you come from the South, restaurant will be on the left - about
1/8 mile before the park entrance.
DIRECTIONS: 84 West get off at exit 6. Right end of ramp. Then stay left & get
on route 37. Follow 4.5 miles. Right onto route 39. Park is 4 miles on
left. . . BUT . . . Villa's Pasta Restaurant (where we will meet) will
be about 3.8 miles on your left.
